We read about systems today and added a glue-in about it in our science notebooks. We then made observations and predictions about the mysterious brown box.
Today we learned about the first of the seven Cross-Cutting Concepts (CCCs) that we will be using this year. Structure is the shape of something, Function is what it does, how it is used, what its purpose is. We observed a bottle with beads to figure out structure and function.
Today we made predictions about the black bottle and tested our ideas. What in the world is happening with that thing? We then drew pictures of what was inside the bottle (Hint: it is a fire-breathing dragon monster with a unicorn horn that drinks the water)
Today we received our disclosure statements. They need a parent signature and must be returned by Friday September 1. We then looked at the black bottle and made observations.
