Today we added a reading about scale, proportion, and quantity to our science journals. We also added a miniaturized version of the cross-cutting concept poster to our notebooks.
Today we went outside with t-shirts that were half black/half white to see how light energy can change to heat energy. Unfortunately the sun was substantially blocked by the haze from local wildfires.
Today we learned about the cross-cutting concepts of "patterns" and "stability/change". We observed the blue bottle and identified patterns and changes. We then watched one more time what happened with the brown box.
We learned about our third cross-cutting concept today and used what we know about cause/effect to research what the brown box was doing.
