We looked outside of the classroom to see what can be done to resolve some global trends, including groups like Kiva.
Today we started our world religion brochure. Students can choose any world religion and must complete the brochure using the rubric posted on the world religions page. This is taking the place of a test for the unit.
Today we explored some traditions of Christianity around the world, including Easter and Christmas. Brochure is next week!

We watched a short clip about life in a Buddhist monastery and made Tibetan prayer flags to decorate the classroom with.
Today we looked at the eight-fold path of Buddhism and the story of Siddhartha Gautama. A Tibetan singing bowl finished out the day.
We finished Hinduism today through the story of Holi, watching the clouds of colored chalk cover crowds, and doing some henna art.
